Norfolk – Birding spectacle, 19th-23rd August 2024

Workshop to photograph the Seasonal Bird spectacle in which we will see 10’s of thousands of wading birds Knots, Oyster Catchers, Curlew, Dunlin & maybe Pink Footed Geese.

When the tides are high enough which is down to an alignment of daytime & tides they will be forced to take flight in their 1,000s, the commotion of these wingbeats, the excited calls and swirling flocks creates a fantastically exhilarating nature spectacle, a true “whirling wader spectacle”.

This part of the trip is non negotiable for start times in the itinerary as we are in natures hands although you are never forced to attend & will still be part of the rest of the day. It will be a small group of four plus myself to ensure you all get what you need from me I will work the rest of the photography trip around this birding spectacle to maximise our photographic success.

We will also take in the wonderful coastline of Norfolk, beaches & huge skies, sand dunes, beach huts the opportunities are plentiful, we will decide on the rest of our “to do list” on the trip as a group, it is the coast of Norfolk so appropriate clothing and footwear is needed.

All levels are welcome from beginners right through to advanced, I will be on hand throughout the workshop to assist on all technical aspects of camera settings without the techno babble to help you achieve the photos you are after as well as composition, styles, methods & “trouble shoot with you”, discuss suggestions that will enable you to capture great photos.
